It was December of 2015 when I first came across Welcome Pack Canada. I thought it was something that will be interesting and useful for new immigrants, so I decided to post a story about it. To my surprise, this article became one of my most popular posts, until I had the chance to collaborate with the people behind these heart-warming boxes - - - this is where my then momsiecle.com (website) introduced the newcomer kit to new immigrants in Manitoba. Our first distribution was held at Bakerite store, the Filipino owners, Manny and Emily Adao instantly agreed to host our first distribution. The supposedly 2 days distribution schedule was cut short to a half day distribution because all boxes were claimed on the first 6 hours of the first day. From then on, we started to distribute the box every month, each month we were able to distribute 300 to 400 boxes.
